As unbelievable as it is, I am selling my Defender 90 because I love it so much. Actually, maybe it is because I love my family so much. I need to be at the helm of a boat, driving my family around the lake every weekend instead of playing with my rare, 1997 Land Rover Defender 90. This car is so rare that I have never driven it that I didn't have someone ask me about it while I was out. I have loved this car since the moment I laid eyes on it. I bought the Defender from my boss (a luxury car collector) who had only put a few hundred miles on it and had kept it in a garage for the 12 months that he had it. The Defender was my sole vehicle for about 3 years, using it to travel from Atlanta (where I lived) to Johnson City, TN to visit my family. Even though the Defender is an off-road vehicle, I never had the heart to take it off-road and risk the scratches. I have kept it under cover since I got a second vehicle. I now drive it at least once a week, and keep up with all maintenance and service while also taking great care to keep all the parts original Land Rover Defender 90 parts. I have different priorities now as a family man, and I can't afford to keep a boat up and this rare, collector's car, too.
All maintenance and service has been properly maintained throughout the life of this car. It is in excellent, used condition. No leaks, and only minor rust. I have tried to give it the best care possible over the last 16 years I have had it. I have truly babied this car, while also enjoying the rugged, sportiness it was designed for. The title is clean, only two owners, and I have been the only owner since 1998. I have the original window sticker, as well as all of the original Land Rover paperwork and accessories, and all of the service records. Happy to have you come look at it or test drive it, but please only serious inquiries.
